Production houses Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts on Wednesday dismissed reports suggesting delays in their upcoming project starring Jr NTR and directed by Prashanth Neel.

In coordinated statements, the banners clarified that the film remains on schedule and that recent speculation about a halted shoot due to dissatisfaction with the actor’s character look is unfounded. The rumours, which surfaced on a Telugu news portal, claimed that a planned shooting schedule had been called off amid creative differences over the protagonist’s appearance in what is said to be a multi-role storyline.

Producers, however, attributed the current pause to a routine pre-production and planning phase, a standard practice for large-scale projects. They reiterated that there has been no disruption to the film’s timeline and that work is progressing as intended behind the scenes.

The yet-untitled film, tentatively referred to as “Dragon” or “NTR Neel,” has generated significant anticipation given the collaboration between the actor and the director, both known for delivering commercially successful ventures.

Meanwhile, fans of Jr NTR took to social media to counter the rumours, describing them as unverified and urging others to await official communication from the team. The makers indicated that formal updates, including a possible title announcement, are expected in the coming weeks, with May 20 being speculated as a key date.

The film is slated for release in 2026.
