An IndiGo flight bound for Ahmedabad was delayed by more than eight hours at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport on Wednesday after a suspicious note was discovered onboard , officials said.

Teams including the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) conducted a thorough search of all passengers, baggage, and the aircraft. Officials confirmed that no suspicious object or threat was found during the operation.

Police have registered a case against an unidentified person in connection with the incident. As of now, the individual responsible for writing and placing the note has not been identified or apprehended , and investigations are ongoing.

The flight, originally scheduled to depart at 1:30 am and arrive in Ahmedabad at 2:50 am, eventually took off at 9:48 am after security clearance and landed safely later in the morning.
