The Indian Super League 2025–26 season began on February 14 after months of uncertainty, with 14 teams competing in a curtailed campaign that has intensified the race for the title.

Mumbai City FC currently lead the standings with 14 points from six matches, following a crucial 1-0 victory over Mohun Bagan Super Giant in the latest gameweek. The win propelled Mumbai to the top of the table as the league heads into an international break.

Defending champions Mohun Bagan had started the season in dominant fashion, but a draw and a defeat in their last two matches have seen them slip to second place with 13 points. Jamshedpur FC are level on points with Mohun Bagan and occupy third position, ensuring the title race remains tightly contested.

East Bengal FC and Bengaluru FC are placed fourth and fifth respectively with 11 points each, while FC Goa , still unbeaten this season, are sixth with 10 points.

In the middle of the table, Punjab FC have shown promise with consistent performances. Meanwhile, NorthEast United FC , Odisha FC , and Chennaiyin FC have struggled for consistency so far.

At the bottom, Kerala Blasters FC and Mohammedan SC have endured a difficult start, managing just one and zero points respectively.

Notably, the shortened season has led to the scrapping of traditional playoffs , with the team finishing at the top of the league table set to be crowned champions, increasing the significance of every match in the competition.
