Reliance Group Chairman Mukesh Ambani visited the Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Temple on Sunday and took part in the Suprabhata Seva, the early morning ritual performed to awaken the deity. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) officials welcomed him with full honors and arranged a special darshan (exclusive viewing of the deity).

State-of-the-Art kitchen for Annadanam

After completing the darshan, Ambani made a significant announcement - he will fund the construction of a modern kitchen complex in Tirumala for the Sri Venkateswara Anna Prasadam Trust. This facility aims to expand the sacred tradition of “Annadanam” (free meal service) to all temples under TTD’s management, ensuring that every devotee receives nutritious and sanctified food.

Ambani said the initiative reflects the temple’s long-standing spiritual vision that “no devotee should remain hungry.” The upcoming high-tech kitchen is expected to have the capacity to prepare and serve meals to over two lakh (200,000) devotees per day, combining technology with devotion to enhance service quality.

₹5 cr donation to Guruvayur Temple:

During his Tirumala visit, Ambani also reaffirmed his commitment to preserving India’s religious and cultural heritage by announcing a ₹5 crore donation to the Guruvayur Sri Krishna Temple in Kerala.

Following the darshan, priests at the Ranganayakula Mandapam honored Ambani with a traditional shawl, sacred offerings (teertha and prasadam), and a portrait of Lord Venkateswara.
