An investigation by the Madhya Pradesh Lokayukta Police into alleged disproportionate assets linked to head constable Firoz Khan has uncovered 50 immovable properties with an estimated market value of ₹65.72 crore, bringing his family members, associates and business entities under scrutiny. The latest findings, reported by the Press Trust of India (PTI) on October 23, have intensified questions about the sources of funds used to acquire the properties, the ownership of disputed land and the possible involvement of other individuals in the transactions.

Khan, posted as a driver at the Police Training College (PTC) in Indore, came under scrutiny following a complaint alleging that he used his police position to acquire disputed properties. Lokayukta teams raided 15 premises linked to him and his associates on October 14. Deputy Superintendent of Police Sunil Talan said the identified properties included houses, agricultural land and residential and commercial plots. Their official valuation stands at ₹18.29 crore, against an estimated market value of ₹65.72 crore.

Khan's salary over 24 years of service is estimated at ₹75 lakh, while his legitimate income has been assessed at ₹1.94 crore. The latest findings include two Dewas plots worth ₹60.54 lakh and a wood-cutting machine worth ₹6 lakh registered in his mother's name. An FIR was registered against Khan and Roshni Verma under the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act.

Verma, described in media reports as Khan's close associate, is linked to Roshni Sales and Service. Reports also identified 1.15 hectares of agricultural land in Rajoda, Dewas, registered in her name for ₹62.46 lakh, and an agreement involving 21.75 bighas in Guran village, Indore district. Her precise role and the source of funds remain under investigation.

Other reported business links include Sahil Trading Company, Royal Green Real Estate, Maharaja Real Estate and Black Hornet. Separately, nine agricultural land parcels were reportedly linked to Sparkwave Realty India Pvt Ltd, associated with Khan's wife, Hina Khan, and Yuvraj Panwar. Investigators are examining bank accounts, vehicle records, land registrations and possible stamp-duty irregularities.

Reports have also raised questions about Khan's alleged connections with senior police personnel and possible timber-trade links. However, no verified public announcement has confirmed Verma's questioning or established wrongdoing by the officials mentioned. The investigation continues to trace the source of funds and determine the ownership of the assets.
