MP Gurumoorthy Demands Comprehensive Probe Into Alleged Mega DSC Irregularities

Tirupati MP Maddila Gurumoorthy has demanded a comprehensive investigation into alleged irregularities in the Andhra Pradesh Mega DSC teacher recruitment process and urged the government to ensure justice for candidates who may have been adversely affected.

Gurumoorthy made the demand while extending solidarity to a relay hunger strike organised by the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) at Naidupeta in the Sullurpeta Assembly constituency. The protest was held under the leadership of YSRCP Sullurpeta in-charge Kiliveti Sanjeevayya. Former joint Nellore district president Kakani Govardhan Reddy also participated in the programme along with the MP.

Addressing the gathering, Gurumoorthy said lakhs of students and unemployed youth across Andhra Pradesh had pinned their hopes on government teaching jobs and prepared extensively for the Mega DSC examination. Many candidates, he said, had spent considerable amounts on coaching and invested years of hard work in pursuit of a secure government career.

The MP said serious questions had been raised over various aspects of the recruitment process, including allegations concerning the question paper leak, merit list and changes to recruitment rules. He specifically sought clarity from the government over allegations that rules relating to sports quota recruitment were altered to benefit certain individuals.

Gurumoorthy said candidates who had prepared diligently should not be made to suffer because of alleged lapses in the recruitment process. He stressed that the government has a responsibility to maintain transparency, fairness and impartiality in appointments to public posts.

The MP said the YSRCP was demanding the resignation of Minister Nara Lokesh, holding him responsible for the controversy surrounding the Mega DSC recruitment process.

He assured students and unemployed aspirants that the party would continue its agitation until justice is delivered and congratulated the party leaders, workers and women participating in the relay hunger strike.
