Ahead of the upcoming Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Telangana, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Friday launched a dedicated helpline to assist voters. The facility was inaugurated at the party headquarters, ‘Darussalam’, in Hyderabad.

Through this SIR helpline , voters will receive necessary guidance and support regarding verification of names, correction of errors, and updating of details in the electoral rolls. The initiative aims to simplify the process for the public, the party said in a statement. Trained representatives will be available to provide assistance and ensure that voters’ information is accurately recorded.

The party emphasised that having correct details in the voter list is crucial for exercising the right to vote securely , urging citizens to make use of the service. The helpline will be operational ежедневно from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm , and voters can contact the numbers 9100043150, 9100043151, and 9100043152 for assistance.

Meanwhile, election authorities in the state are also preparing to implement the SIR process effectively. A training programme was conducted on March 17 in Hyderabad under the supervision of the Chief Electoral Officer, Telangana. Officials, including Electoral Registration Officers and district-level master trainers from Nizamabad, Medak, Mahabubnagar, and Nalgonda , participated in the session.

The training covered key aspects such as electoral roll management, voter mapping, and implementation of the SIR process . A total of 42 electoral officers and 26 master trainers attended the programme.

The Election Commission of India is undertaking this nationwide revision of electoral rolls as part of the SIR exercise. The first phase began in Bihar, followed by the second phase in nine states and three Union Territories, including Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh. The process is now set to commence in Telangana. Voters seeking to verify or update their details can directly approach the helpline at Darussalam or avail assistance via phone.
