Mother, Two Children Found Dead in Latur Well, Family Dispute Suspected
In a deeply tragic incident, a 25-year-old woman and her two minor children were found dead after allegedly jumping into a well in Maharashtra’s Latur district, police said on Monday. The incident has sent shockwaves through Kharosa village in Ausa tehsil, where the family lived.
The deceased woman has been identified as Nikita Amardeep Bhure , while her children, Shivani (5) and Shivansh (3) , also lost their lives in the incident. According to police officials, the incident took place around midnight on Sunday at a well located adjacent to their residence.
Villagers discovered the woman’s body floating in the well on Monday morning and alerted authorities. Personnel from Killari police station rushed to the spot and subsequently retrieved all three bodies.
Preliminary inquiries suggest that the woman may have taken the extreme step following a family dispute , though officials said the exact circumstances leading to the incident are still under investigation. “We are probing all angles, including domestic issues that may have caused distress,” a police official said.
While the precise trigger remains unclear, such incidents are often linked to a combination of factors including domestic conflicts, emotional distress, financial pressures, and lack of immediate social or psychological support . Experts note that unresolved семей tensions and isolation can sometimes push individuals toward extreme actions.
Police have registered a case and initiated further investigation to ascertain the sequence of events and any underlying reasons behind the tragedy.
The incident underscores the urgent need for accessible mental health support, community awareness, and early intervention mechanisms to prevent such heartbreaking losses.
