Mohanlal launches ‘Karakkam’ teaser, new project with Mammootty in the works

The teaser of Karakkam , touted as Malayalam cinema’s first musical horror comedy, was unveiled by veteran actor Mohanlal, generating fresh excitement around the film’s unique genre blend . Backed by Krownstars Entertainment and Black Turtle Productions, the film is directed by Subhash Lalitha Subrahmanian and is gearing up for a theatrical release.

The teaser offers a glimpse into a chaotic narrative where a group of young friends find their lives disrupted by mysterious spirits from another time. Rather than relying purely on horror, the film mixes eerie moments with humor and high-energy sequences, creating an unpredictable tone. The visuals hint at a story driven by confusion, fear, and comic timing, setting it apart from conventional horror films.

The project had already gained traction when actor Prithviraj Sukumaran shared its first look, while appreciation from figures like Manoj Bajpayee has widened its reach beyond regional audiences.
