
Modi praises Pawan Kalyan’s achievement in Japanese martial art Kenjutsu
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan for achieving a rare distinction in Japanese martial arts by securing official induction in Kenjutsu , the classical Japanese sword discipline developed by samurai for real battlefield combat and known for its emphasis on discipline, precision, mental focus and character-building alongside physical skill.
In a message sent to Pawan Kalyan, the Prime Minister said he had learnt about the Deputy Chief Minister’s accomplishments in the field of Japanese martial arts and extended his heartfelt congratulations on the formal recognition in Kenjutsu.
Commending his dedication, Modi noted that despite being actively engaged in public life and a demanding film career, Pawan Kalyan’s disciplined and sincere pursuit of martial arts was truly admirable. He described the Deputy Chief Minister’s decades-long commitment to martial arts practice as inspiring, particularly for the younger generation.
