MLA Tangirala Soumya aims to transform villages with 'Palle Panduga 2.0'

Nandigama MLA and Government Whip Tangirala Soumya visited Kothapalle in Chandarlapadu mandal on Monday as part of the 'Palle Panduga 2.0' initiative. She performed a ceremonial foundation stone-laying for development works worth approximately ₹1.28 crore.

Addressing a public gathering, Soumya said the government is focused on providing essential infrastructure in villages by coordinating efforts between the Panchayati Raj and Rural Development departments and efficiently utilizing funds from the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS). She announced that 13 development projects across Chandarlapadu mandal were formally launched that day, including construction of cement and metal roads and compound walls for government buildings.

Highlighting the employment scheme, Soumya emphasized that the program aims not only to provide work for laborers but also to generate wealth within villages. She added that villages neglected under previous administrations are being revitalized through the 'Palle Panduga' initiative, and better transport facilities will help sustain development.

The event saw participation from coalition leaders, local representatives, chairpersons of primary agricultural cooperatives, water committee heads, officials from various departments, and residents. Villagers expressed their happiness at the development works and thanked the MLA for her efforts.
