Dubba MLA Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, along with SC/ST Commission Chairman Bakki Venkataiah, inspected urea stock at the Rythu Agros-2 center in Chegunta Mandal of Dubba constituency. The visit aimed to assess the shortage and supply issues faced by farmers during the crucial farming season.

During the inspection, the MLA reviewed the total urea stocks at the center, checked stock registers personally, and gathered detailed information on how supplies are being distributed village by village. He urged officials to ensure there are no irregularities in the distribution process.

MLA Prabhakar Reddy also met directly with farmers at the center to hear their concerns. Farmers reported difficulties due to delays, high prices, and the involvement of middlemen, emphasizing that urea scarcity is causing serious problems at a critical stage of the agricultural season.

The MLA stressed that the government must take effective measures to ensure fertilizers are available to farmers when needed. He warned that if shortages continue or artificial scarcity is created, it could lead to severe losses for farmers. He also said that any illegal activities such as black marketing would be strongly questioned by the BRS party.

He called for clear display of stock details at Rythu Agros centers and complete transparency in distribution, ensuring every farmer receives an equal share of urea without disruption. Prabhakar Reddy assured farmers that the BRS party would continue to fight for their rights and support their interests.

Addressing the Assembly, the MLA highlighted additional issues caused by the current app-based urea distribution system. Farmers are facing confusion and delays as technical problems and network issues prevent the app from functioning properly. He demanded that urea be distributed even without the app, criticizing the government for enforcing a system that ignores the ground reality.

Prabhakar Reddy also raised concerns about irregular electricity supply in villages, which is affecting farming operations, and delays in unloading harvested grains, which further aggravate farmers’ problems.
