MLA Kaushik Reddy seeks ₹1,000 cr for Huzurabad development

Huzurabad MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy on Friday met Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao, who oversees Karimnagar district, and appealed for immediate support to fast-track long-pending development works in the constituency. The MLA requested the government to allocate at least ₹1,000 crore for comprehensive development of Huzurabad.

During the meeting, Kaushik Reddy explained that several key projects in all five mandals of the constituency have been stalled for months, causing severe inconvenience to the public. He pointed out that major roads such as the Rachapalli-Bujunoor route and the Nagampet-Rachapalli road in Illanthakunta mandal have deteriorated badly, while the Rachapalli bridge has become unsafe for commuters. Thousands of people use these routes every day, making urgent repairs essential, he said.

The MLA also highlighted delays in other important works, including the upgradation of the Huzurabad school ground, construction of drainage canals, widening of main roads, and improvement of basic civic infrastructure. He noted that these issues were raised in previous Assembly sessions as well, but the projects have not yet moved to the execution stage.

Responding positively to the appeal, Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao assured that funds for the Rachapalli-Bujunoor road, Nagampet-Rachapalli road, and the Rachapalli bridge would be sanctioned immediately. He further assured full cooperation and necessary financial support for the overall development of Huzurabad.

The MLA expressed confidence that the meeting would help speed up several long-pending works across the constituency.
