Station Ghanpur MLA Kadiyam Srihari met with Telangana Assembly Speaker G. Prasad on Friday, following notices issued to him regarding alleged defection from his party. The notices require him to provide an explanation by November 23.

Recently, the Speaker also issued notices to two MLAs - Kadiyam Srihari and Dhanam Nagender - asking for clarification on the defection allegations. During the meeting, Srihari requested more time to submit his explanation in person.

According to the Speaker’s notices, both MLAs must respond by the next day. Earlier, in August, notices were issued to 10 BRS MLAs, out of which eight submitted affidavits to the Speaker.

Meanwhile, Dhanam Nagender, who is currently in Delhi, is expected to return to the state soon. Although he may meet the Speaker, there is uncertainty over his next steps. Questions remain over whether the MLAs will request additional time or make a dramatic resignation, fueling speculation in Telangana’s political circles.

The outcome of the Speaker’s decision, as well as any announcements regarding the future political plans of these two leaders, has now become a major focus in state politics.
