Galla Madhavi Drives Health Mission in Guntur West Through Regular Mega Camps
MLA Galla Madhavi has said that her vision is to develop the Guntur West Assembly constituency into a model of public health, with sustained medical outreach forming the core of this effort.
On Sunday, she visited a free mega medical camp held in the 18th Division of the constituency, jointly organised by Vikas Hospitals with the support of the Sri Bhramara Trust . The initiative is part of a series of weekly health camps being conducted across different divisions to ensure regular access to healthcare for residents.
Accompanied by Sri Bhramara Townships head Galla Ramachandra Rao , the MLA interacted with beneficiaries and reviewed the services being offered at the camp. Large numbers of residents attended the programme and received consultations and treatment from specialist doctors.
Medical experts from key departments such as Orthopaedics, Cardiology, Vascular Surgery, and General Medicine provided consultations, conducted diagnostic tests, and distributed medicines free of cost.
Galla Madhavi said that the constituency is being developed with a dual focus on employment generation and public health , and that healthcare outreach has become a continuous priority. She noted that around 70 medical camps have already been conducted across Guntur West as part of this ongoing initiative.
According to her, these camps are not one-time events but a structured programme aimed at ensuring preventive care, early diagnosis, and timely treatment. On Sunday alone, more than 400 residents underwent medical screening and consultations.
Doctors at the camp reportedly detected cardiac-related concerns in some individuals during ECG examinations and advised immediate follow-up treatment at hospitals. Patients diagnosed with conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and thyroid disorders were provided medicines on the spot, while a few with vascular complications were referred for advanced care.
The MLA also highlighted cases of economically weaker single women attending the camp who required both medical and financial assistance. She assured that support would be extended through NTR Vaidya Seva , along with possible assistance via LOC and CMRF channels.
She thanked the hospital management, medical teams, and volunteers for their cooperation, and appreciated the support extended by local political leadership in successfully organising the programme.
