India’s protein revolution has been set in motion with the launch of Mission Protein, a nationwide health initiative jointly introduced by HRX, the fitness brand founded by actor Hrithik Roshan and Exceed Entertainment, and Country Delight, India’s largest direct-to-home kitchen essentials platform. The collaboration has been designed to address India’s growing protein deficiency while expanding HRX’s nutrition portfolio and Country Delight’s high-protein dairy category.

It has been revealed through studies that three out of four Indians do not consume enough protein, with many unaware of their daily nutritional needs. Mission Protein has been introduced to bridge this gap by providing high-protein dairy products and promoting awareness about the importance of protein as part of a balanced diet.

Hrithik Roshan, Founder of HRX, stated “that the foundation of fitness was rooted in nourishment and that Mission Protein had been initiated to help people meet their daily protein intake. It was added that the partnership with Country Delight had been designed to ensure health needs were fulfilled directly at home.” Afsar Zaidi, Co-founder of HRX, remarked that “Mission Protein represented an expansion of HRX’s goal of making holistic wellness accessible. It was said that with Country Delight’s direct-to-home reach and HRX’s focus on healthier lifestyles, a movement addressing real, everyday needs was being built.”

Chakradhar Gade, CEO and Co-founder of Country Delight, stated that “the company had been created with the purpose of helping India live better. The partnership with HRX to launch Mission Protein India was described as a movement built on the belief that “protein is for everyone.” ”

Through the collaboration, a range of high-protein essentials such as milk, dahi, paneer, eggs, atta, and bread has been introduced. The flagship product High Protein Cow Milk has been said to deliver 2X protein (30g per 450ml), meeting 50% of the daily RDA in one serving. No added protein powders, stabilizers, or artificial ingredients have been used; instead, advanced natural filtration technology has been applied to reduce excess water while preserving nutrients.

The technology behind this innovation relies on ultrafiltration, a natural method that concentrates protein by removing water and lactose. This approach has been successfully used by global dairy brands like Fairlife and Nestlé and now finds an Indian adaptation through Country Delight.

While the product’s production cost is higher than regular milk, profitability is expected to be achieved due to Country Delight’s direct-to-consumer (D2C) model, which eliminates middlemen and enables premium pricing. The synergy between HRX’s fitness-driven image and Country Delight’s purity-based brand promise is believed to strengthen profitability and accelerate adoption.

Experts have projected a 75–85% success rate for Mission Protein based on market readiness, consumer awareness, and brand alignment. The initiative has been described as timely, given India’s ₹5,000-crore protein nutrition market growing at over 20% annually. Initial adoption among Country Delight customers is expected at 15–20%, with high repeat purchase potential.

Mission Protein’s launch video has already garnered over 11 million views, indicating strong public engagement. The high-protein milk and other products are being made available exclusively on the Country Delight app, delivered fresh to homes across India.

With its clean-label promise and strong brand synergy, Mission Protein has been positioned to redefine India’s nutrition landscape making natural, everyday protein accessible, simple, and affordable for all.
