The ministers of Telangana have officially invited Governor Jishnu Dev Varma to attend the Medaram Sammakka-Saralamma Jatara, Asia’s largest tribal festival. On Monday, Ministers Seethakka and Konda Surekha met the Governor at Raj Bhavan and presented him with the official invitation from the temple authorities.

Following the traditions of the Medaram temple, the priests and Executive Officer Veeraswamy formally conveyed the invitation, reflecting the tribal customs associated with the festival. During the meeting, the ministers briefed the Governor on ongoing development works at Medaram, including infrastructure improvements for pilgrims and temple renovation projects.

They highlighted the government’s efforts to ensure a smooth experience for the millions of devotees attending the festival from across India and abroad. The Governor expressed interest in the arrangements and appreciated the government’s initiatives.

The Jatara, scheduled from January 28 to 31, is now in its final stages of preparation, with all arrangements being made to host the festival in a grand and well-organized manner.
