State Labour and Mines Minister Dr Vivek Venkatswamy reiterated that the government is committed to the development of Narsapur Municipality. During his visit on Saturday, he laid the foundation stone for various development works to be taken up at a cost of ₹15 crore. He said a special municipal meeting has been convened for the town’s development and that progress is being made in a systematic manner.

As part of the visit, the Minister inaugurated houses constructed under the Indiramma Housing Scheme in Wards 4 and 6. He participated in the housewarming ceremonies along with beneficiaries Duddala Durgamma and Mohammed Shakeera Begum and extended his greetings. He stated that the government’s goal is to fulfil the dream of home ownership for the underprivileged who lack proper shelter.

Later, at Narayanapur village, the Minister launched the “Badibata” school enrolment drive as part of the 99-day ‘Praja Palana – Pragati Pranalika’ programme. He noted that quality education is being provided free of cost in government schools and called upon officials and parents to work together to increase student enrolment. He added that the government is taking firm measures to strengthen the education system.

Addressing the gathering, the Minister said the benefits of development should reach all sections beyond politics. He instructed public representatives to act proactively to prevent drinking water scarcity during summer and resolve issues in advance. He urged every representative to serve responsibly and advised newly elected members to coordinate with officials and reach out to the people.

Narsapur MLA Sunitha Laxma Reddy , MLC Anjireddy , District Collector Pratima Singh , Municipal Chairperson Laxmi Raj Yadav and other public representatives and officials attended the programme. During the event, an issue over the proposed ₹2,500 pension for women triggered arguments among participants, leading to heated exchanges.
