
Minister Veeranjaneya Swami Sets 100% Pass Goal for Class 10 & Intermediate Students
State Social Welfare Minister Dr. Dola Sri Bala Veeranjaneya Swami has set an ambitious target of 100% pass results for all Class 10 and intermediate students residing in social welfare hostels. Officials have been directed to take proactive measures to ensure every student achieves academic success.
The minister held a review meeting through Zoom with Deputy Directors of the Social Welfare Department from Velagapudi Secretariat . During the session, key decisions were taken on improving academic performance and enhancing hostel management.
Key Decisions and Initiatives:
• A special program will identify subjects where students are struggling, and tutors will provide focused support to bridge gaps.
• Students have been encouraged to study the “Rising Star” and “Shining Star” books to strengthen learning outcomes.
• Hostel wardens will provide career guidance and assist students in applying for competitive exams such as EAMCET, IIT, and NEET .
• To support students without parents, summer facilities will be ensured, with one central facility set up in each district offering boarding and dining services.
• Regular monitoring of hostel menus, wardens’ performance, and hygiene standards will be conducted, with feedback collected directly from students through IVRS.
For the first time, sanitation workers are being appointed in hostels through outsourcing. RO plants and CCTV cameras are being installed in all hostels to improve safety and amenities. Under the PM Ajay Scheme , 26 new hostel buildings are under construction statewide, with District Educational Officers instructed to monitor progress continuously.
The review meeting was attended by Social Welfare Department Director B. Lavanya Veni (IAS) and Deputy Directors from all districts.
