Minister Vakiti Srihari Unveils Sports Hackathon Poster

Telangana is set to script a new chapter by blending sports and technology. The official logo and poster of the world’s first stadium innovation league, ‘Sports Hackathon®’ , were unveiled on Friday at the minister’s residence in Hyderabad. Organised with the full support of the Telangana government, the mega event aims to position the state as a global leader in the sports sector.

The historic programme will be held on March 29 at the Gachibowli Stadium . More than just a competition, it is designed as a 24-hour continuous innovation experiment. Participants will engage in sporting activities in a professional stadium environment while simultaneously exploring innovative solutions to challenges in the sports industry.

The Telangana government is extending complete support for the event. Speaking on the occasion, State Minister for Sports and Youth Services Vakiti Srihari said the hackathon would open new avenues of opportunity for the state’s youth. He stated that he would personally remain at the stadium throughout the duration of the event and participate. He described it as a crucial step towards establishing Telangana as a global hub for sports innovation and said it would serve as a platform to showcase the capabilities of the youth to the world.

Eye on Guinness World Record

The primary objective of the event is to bring together youth, athletes, students, technology experts, startup representatives, and international participants from all 33 districts of the state onto a single platform. The organisers have set a target of hosting more than 10,000 participants in one stadium, with plans to develop over 2,000 innovations . An attempt will also be made to secure a place in the Guinness World Record through this large-scale initiative. Notably, this format combining live sports activities with a continuous innovation process is being organised for the first time in the world.

Sundeep Kumar Makthala, Brand Owner of the Hackathon , said that integrating sports and technology on a single platform marks a new phase in the evolution of hackathons. He expressed confidence that thousands of youth working together in a 24-hour continuous innovation process would generate path-breaking solutions for the future of sports. He added that, with the support of the Telangana government, the event would set global standards.
