
Minister reviews ₹200 cr residential school in Madhira
Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka visited the ongoing construction site of the Young India Integrated Residential School in Lakshmipuram village, Bonakal mandal, in Madhira constituency. During the visit, the minister emphasized the importance of maintaining high construction quality, timely progress, and ensuring world-class facilities for future students.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Bhatti Vikramarka highlighted that the school is being built to meet international standards. He stressed that no compromises should be made on quality, and strict adherence to construction norms is essential. To speed up the work, he instructed authorities to increase the workforce and ensure that the quality of materials used is not compromised.
The minister also reviewed the construction of roads and other connectivity facilities. He noted that providing easy access to the school, ensuring student safety, and creating convenient transportation links are key priorities. Officials and contractors briefed the minister on the progress of the construction and the measures being taken to maintain precise quality standards. The minister assured that the work will be closely monitored to ensure completion on schedule.
“Education is the greatest asset we can give to future generations. Our aim is to provide world-class education to the children of Telangana,” the minister said, urging all officials involved in the project to maintain high standards of quality, safety, and amenities.
Future plans The Young India Integrated Residential School in Madhira constituency has an estimated construction cost of ₹200 crore. As part of this initiative, the Telangana government has allocated ₹15,600 crore to build 78 such schools across the state, with each school costing around ₹200 crore.
Each school will be built on a 25-acre campus and will have the capacity to accommodate 2,560 students. Facilities will include digital libraries, smart boards, computer labs, and sports infrastructure such as cricket, football, basketball, and tennis courts, all designed to meet international standards. The government plans to build one school in every constituency to provide high-quality education to students across Telangana.
Recent developments In October 2024, the government laid the foundation for 28 Young India schools. Recently, approval was granted to construct 20 more schools with a total investment of ₹4,000 crore. Officials confirmed that construction work on these schools is already underway.
