Minister Ravi Kumar Pushes Speedy Rollout of Solar, Power Connections

Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar on Friday directed officials to accelerate the implementation of power sector schemes in the state. From his camp office in Amaravati, he held a teleconference with DISCOM CEOs and senior अधिकारियों to review the progress of PM Surya Ghar , RDSS , and PM Kusum schemes.

The minister laid special emphasis on free PM Surya Ghar solar connections being provided to SC and ST communities . He instructed that at least 2,000 connections in each constituency be completed between the birth anniversaries of Babu Jagjivan Ram and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar , and called for stringent measures to achieve this target.

Highlighting the government’s priority to the agriculture sector , he directed officials to clear all pending agricultural power connections before the upcoming farming season. He also stressed that uninterrupted power supply to farmers must be ensured.

As per the directions of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu , the minister said the government would bear electricity costs without imposing additional burden on the public . He urged field-level staff to work in coordination, speed up implementation , and deliver effective services to the people while enhancing the government’s credibility.
