Minister Ponnam Prabhakar Reviews Development Works in Husnabad

Telangana Transport and BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar visited Husnabad town and conducted a field-level inspection of various ongoing development works . He directed officials to expedite the beautification and restoration of key water bodies, including Kotha Cheruvu, Ellamma Cheruvu, and Palle Cheruvu.

During the visit, the Minister focused primarily on lake rejuvenation and beautification initiatives . He instructed officials to prepare proposals for a dedicated feeder system to prevent town drainage water from entering Kotha Cheruvu.

At Ellamma Cheruvu, he reviewed works related to the glass bridge, greenery lawn, and open gym , and suggested setting up a viewpoint atop the embankment hill . He emphasised that there should be no compromise on quality in the execution of works. He also inspected the construction of new sheds near Ellamma temple and works related to the Pochamma temple .

The Minister examined the proposed site for a crematorium serving Wards 8 and 9 and instructed officials to commence works immediately .

At Jillalagadda, he reviewed the Urban Forest Park works, including the already completed mud track and water sump . He suggested installing attractive play equipment for children and focusing on developing natural waterfalls and trekking trails .

He also proposed the construction of a cable bridge, on the lines of Laknavaram , between Puttaloddi and Gadidaloddi, and directed forest officials to build watch towers on elevated hillocks .

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister stated that the government aims to develop Husnabad into a tourist destination .Municipal Chairperson Dandi Lakshmi, Vice-Chairperson Chittari Padma, the RDO, Municipal Commissioner, and other public representatives and officials participated in the programme.
