Minister Ponnam Prabhakar calls for BC empowerment in Telangana 2047 vision

Telangana Minister Ponnam Prabhakar has emphasized that the forthcoming ‘Telangana Rising 2047’ vision document must include concrete measures to ensure the educational, economic, and social empowerment of Backward Classes (BCs).

During a review meeting with officials on Friday, Minister Prabhakar stressed that strengthening BC communities through education and economic opportunities will enable them to play a key role in the state’s overall development. He highlighted the need to enhance social welfare institutions and hostels that support students, ensuring higher standards of education and skill development.

Officials indicated that several of these key measures will be incorporated into the vision document after discussions at the upcoming ‘Telangana Rising Global Summit.’

The Telangana government is organizing the two-day summit on December 8-9 in the proposed Future City area on the outskirts of Hyderabad. The event aims to attract investment, showcase the achievements of the state government over the past two years, and unveil the Telangana Rising 2047 vision document.

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has directed officials to ensure the summit is conducted on a grand scale. Invitations have been sent to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, central ministers, leading industrialists, and other international dignitaries. On December 8, the summit will highlight the successes of government welfare and development programs, while December 9 will focus on presenting the state’s future plans and aspirations through the Telangana Rising 2047 vision document.
