Minister for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, Rural Poverty Alleviation, and Non-Resident Andhra Affairs, Kondapalli Srinivas, has emphasized the need for officials to actively promote industrial development and create awareness about entrepreneurship at the grassroots level.

Speaking at a review meeting with senior officials of the Industries Department and general managers from all 26 districts, held at the Secretariat’s Second Block on Thursday, Minister Srinivas highlighted the government’s vision - to develop at least one industrialist from every family. He called on officials to work at the field level, holding regional meetings to engage communities and spread awareness about the industrial sector.

He also stressed the importance of providing proper training to field staff and connecting them with institutions like the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub, which can support aspiring entrepreneurs from idea to implementation. Officials must ensure that potential industrialists have clear guidance on technology, skill development, and financial incentives offered by the government.

Minister Srinivas recalled that since the coalition government came to power in 2024, every effort has been made to strengthen field-level systems, provide essential human resources, and build infrastructure for industrial development. Special focus on training and familiarizing staff with the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub is crucial to maximize its benefits.

To ensure efficiency, he instructed that all officials must spend at least one day a week in the office, not just on fieldwork, to guide and assist aspiring entrepreneurs. Officers should be available to provide information on loans, permits, and government programs, and ensure industrial parks are closely monitored. He noted that Saturdays should be dedicated to such availability, with the exception of the second Saturday of each month.

Officials were urged to stay updated on central and state government initiatives, evolving industrial policies, and actively encourage new enterprises. Minister Srinivas assured that the government is fully prepared to provide the necessary infrastructure and human resources to overcome implementation challenges, and called for a structured action plan to move these efforts forward.

The meeting was attended by Industries Department Secretary Dr. N. Yuvaraj, Director Shubham Bansal, senior officials from various departments, and district heads who joined virtually.
