Minister Konda Surekha directs grand preparations for Komuravelli Mallanna Kalyanam

Minister Konda Surekha has directed that the annual Komuravelli Mallikarjuna Swamy (Mallanna) wedding festival and fair in Siddipet district be organized on a grand and prestigious scale.

In a video conference with senior officials from the Endowments Department in Siddipet, the Minister reviewed preparations for the festival in detail. Discussions focused on government decisions, implementation plans, and facilities for devotees.

With a large number of pilgrims expected, the Minister asked officials to prepare a special traffic management plan to ensure smooth arrivals and departures. She emphasized that devotee safety should be the highest priority, urging deployment of additional police personnel, CCTV monitoring, and arrangements for emergency medical services.

The Minister also stressed proper arrangements for drinking water, sanitation, temporary accommodation, and parking, ensuring that devotees do not face any inconvenience. She highlighted that close coordination among all departments is essential for the successful conduct of the festival.

To enhance the experience for devotees and reflect the festival’s significance, all departments have been instructed to work in full coordination to provide comprehensive facilities, ensuring the event is conducted in a dignified and grand manner.

The Telangana government, through Minister Konda Surekha and senior officials, released the official posters and invitations for the annual Mallanna Kalyanam celebrations at Komuravelli. The main wedding ceremony of Lord Mallikarjuna Swamy is scheduled for December 29, 2024, at 10:45 a.m. Important rituals such as ‘Pedda Patnam’ and ‘Agnigundam’ will take place. Traditionally, the fair begins in the month of Magha and continues until Maha Shivaratri.
