Minister Komatireddy Holds 'Rachabanda' Under Banyan Tree to Hear Public Grievances

In a move aimed at strengthening direct public engagement, Telangana Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy interacted with residents of Erragaddalagudem village in Nalgonda district through a traditional Rachabanda meeting held under a banyan tree.

Stepping away from formal government meetings, the minister chose to sit among villagers and listen to their concerns firsthand. The informal gathering provided residents with an opportunity to raise issues affecting their daily lives and offer suggestions for improving local governance.

During the interaction, villagers highlighted problems related to drinking water supply, roads, drainage, electricity, village development, basic infrastructure and the implementation of welfare schemes. The minister patiently heard every representation and assured the people that the issues would be taken up with the concerned departments for prompt resolution.

Speaking on the occasion, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said the primary objective of the Rachabanda initiative is to create a platform where citizens can directly communicate their concerns to the government. He noted that governance becomes more transparent and people-centric when elected representatives visit villages and understand local needs instead of relying solely on official reviews.

The minister also emphasised that public feedback plays a crucial role in shaping development programmes. He reiterated the government's commitment to addressing rural issues on a priority basis and ensuring that development reaches every village through timely interventions.
