Minister Jupalli inaugurates ‘Indiramma’ house in Adilabad

Minister Jupalli Krishnarao inaugurated a newly constructed house under the Indiramma Housing Scheme in Bangari Gud, Anukunt Colony, Adilabad district. The house, built for the couple Basa Gangamma and Ramesh, was opened in the presence of local representatives and community leaders.

Speaking at the event, Minister Jupalli said the government’s focus is on the welfare of the people. He highlighted that the construction of Indiramma houses is being accelerated to provide shelter to underprivileged families. For beneficiaries facing financial difficulties, the government is taking steps to offer loan facilities to help complete their homes.

The minister also noted that the state government has set a target of constructing 450,000 houses across Andhra Pradesh with an investment of ₹22,500 crore. “Every family has a fundamental right to housing,” he said, adding that officials are closely monitoring the construction work to ensure timely completion.

Addressing criticisms from some BRS leaders, Minister Jupalli dismissed claims related to gold prices or pension hikes as attempts to mislead the public. He accused the previous government, which was in power for ten years, of leaving the state heavily indebted while failing to deliver promises such as double-bedroom homes for the poor, three-acre land for Dalits, and unemployment allowances.

The minister also highlighted the challenges faced by farmers in the district due to consecutive heavy rains. He urged BJP representatives to press the central government to provide compensation for crop losses. Citing special funds allocated to states like Bihar, Gujarat, and Andhra Pradesh, he demanded that Telangana farmers receive similar relief and flood assistance.

Minister Jupalli emphasized the need for coordinated action on farmers’ issues rather than political posturing and expressed confidence that the successful implementation of government welfare and housing schemes would significantly improve the living standards of poor families.
