Minister Azharuddin Reviews Ramzan 2026 Preparations and Minority Welfare Schemes

Telangana Minister for Minority Welfare Mohammed Azharuddin on Wednesday held a high-level review meeting at the Telangana Secretariat to assess preparations for the upcoming Ramzan 2026 festival and the implementation of various minority welfare schemes . District Minority Welfare Officers and senior officials from across the state participated in the meeting.

During the review, the minister discussed in detail the arrangements required for the holy month of Ramzan , including facilities to enable the Muslim community to observe fasting and prayers comfortably. He stressed the need for adequate infrastructure such as sanitation, drinking water, lighting, security, and facilities at mosques and public places. To ensure smooth coordination, Azharuddin instructed officials to conduct district-level meetings involving district in-charge ministers, collectors, MLAs , concerned departmental officials, and religious leaders .

The minister also reviewed the implementation of the Shaadi Mubarak scheme and directed officials to ensure that financial assistance reaches all eligible beneficiaries without delay. He emphasized that timely disbursal is essential to support economically weaker minority families. In addition, he assessed the progress of development works taken up under the Prime Minister’s Jan Vikas Programme and instructed officials to closely monitor these projects and complete them within the stipulated time frame.

Reviewing the utilization of funds allocated for Christmas celebrations , the minister underlined the importance of transparency and proper use of government resources for all minority communities. He reiterated that minority welfare remains a key priority of the Telangana government and urged officials to implement all schemes efficiently.

Azharuddin further highlighted the government’s commitment to inclusive growth , stating that welfare programmes must reach the grassroots level and benefit the intended sections of society.
