The fourth day of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics on 10 February was full of exciting moments across many sports. Host country Italy celebrated a big win, while several other nations also had strong performances.

The biggest cheer came in short track speed skating. Arianna Fontana helped Italy win gold in the mixed 2,000m relay. She skated with Elisa Confortola, Thomas Nadalini and Pietro Sighel. This win gave Fontana her 12th Olympic medal , making her Italy’s most successful Winter Olympian. Canada finished second and Belgium took bronze.

In curling, Sweden’s brother and sister team, Isabella and Rasmus Wranå, won gold in mixed doubles after a close match with the United States. Slovenia won the ski jumping mixed team event, led by siblings Nika and Domen Prevc. Norway added another gold in biathlon, where Johan-Olav Botn won the men’s 20km race without missing a shot.

Norway also celebrated in freestyle skiing, where Birk Ruud won gold in men’s slopestyle. In cross-country skiing, American Ben Ogden won silver in the sprint, the first U.S. men’s Olympic medal in the sport in 50 years. Germany’s Julia Taubitz won gold in women’s luge.

After the day’s events, Norway leads the medal table with six gold medals and 12 medals in total. Germany and Sweden are next, each with three gold medals. Switzerland is fourth, and the United States is fifth. Italy now has 11 medals, including seven bronze, helped by its home crowd support.

The day showed great competition, new records, and proud moments for many countries, with Italy’s gold medal and Norway’s strong results standing out the most.
