Michael B. Jordan Unveils First Look of 'The Thomas Crown Affair'
Hollywood star Michael B. Jordan has unveiled the first look poster of his highly anticipated film 'The Thomas Crown Affair', offering audiences a stylish preview of the reimagined classic heist thriller. The film is scheduled to arrive exclusively in theatres on March 5.
The newly released poster presents Jordan as the charismatic billionaire at the center of the story. Dressed in a sophisticated ivory-white tuxedo jacket with a black bow tie, the actor appears against a minimalist backdrop that enhances the film’s elegant and mysterious tone. His face is partially cropped, drawing attention to his expression while reinforcing the intrigue surrounding the character. The poster also features the tagline, “Revenge is a work of art.”
Sharing the first look on Instagram, Michael B. Jordan wrote, “ Revenge is a work of art. The Thomas Crown Affair. Only in theaters on March 5. ”
Jordan not only plays the lead role but also directs the film. Earlier this year, he introduced the movie’s trailer at CinemaCon 2026 in Las Vegas, where he revealed that making the project had been a long-held dream. He recalled watching the 1999 version of The Thomas Crown Affair when he was 12 years old, saying the film inspired him to one day become part of a story with a similar blend of sophistication and excitement.
The upcoming film is a remake of the classic thriller that originally starred Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway, before being remade in 1999 with Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo. Jordan has said his version seeks to combine “style, sophistication and rebellion” while giving the central character a more meaningful mission.
The story follows a wealthy art thief who steals priceless masterpieces, including a Van Gogh painting, and becomes entangled in a tense pursuit with an investigator determined to catch him.
The film also features an ensemble cast including Ruth Negga, Aubrey Plaza, Danai Gurira, Kenneth Branagh, Pilou Asbaek, Paapa Essiedu, and Lily Gladstone.
