Meteorological Department Issues Cold Alert Across Six Telangana Districts

Telangana is set to face intensified cold over the next few days, with the Meteorological Department issuing an Orange Alert for six districts Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Mancherial, and Kamareddy .

The department has warned that minimum temperatures in these districts could drop below 10°C , with night temperatures falling 2 to 3°C below normal , increasing the severity of the cold, particularly during late-night and early-morning hours.

Officials have advised residents to take precautionary measures , especially the elderly, children, and people with health conditions . Citizens are urged to stay indoors, wear adequate warm clothing, and avoid unnecessary night travel.

District administrations have been asked to remain alert and ensure adequate arrangements are in place to handle emergencies and assist vulnerable populations. The Meteorological Department will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates.
