Mega DSC-2025 Conducted Fairly and Transparently, Says Education Secretary Kona Sasidhar
Andhra Pradesh Education Secretary Kona Sasidhar has dismissed allegations and misinformation surrounding Mega DSC-2025 , stating that the teacher recruitment process was conducted in a transparent, fair and legally compliant manner.
Addressing a media conference at Vidya Bhavan , he said candidates who secured teaching posts through DSC need not worry about recent claims, as the recruitment was based entirely on merit. He accused certain political groups and sections of the media of spreading misleading information and presented details to counter the allegations.
Sasidhar noted that the DSC notification was issued in 2025 after a gap since 2018. Although 241 court cases were filed seeking to stall the recruitment process, the government successfully defended its position and completed the entire exercise within 148 days , which he described as a record achievement.
He said the recruitment process was carried out with complete coordination between TET and DSC , with details relating to normalisation, reservations and selection procedures made available on the official website beforehand. The implementation of SC categorisation , as well as vertical and horizontal reservations , was strictly in accordance with rules, he added.
The examinations were conducted by TCS iON across 154 centres through a computer-based testing (CBT) system. Since some subjects were tested on different dates, separate question papers were used. A secure question bank of around 3,000 questions per subject was created, with access limited to only two authorised permanent employees. Daily password changes and multiple security layers ensured there was no possibility of a question paper leak, he said.
Rejecting claims regarding score disclosure, Sasidhar said TET scores, DSC marks and district-wise results were all published online. He also explained that, unlike previous recruitments, candidates were called for certificate verification in a 1:1 ratio , eliminating the need for a waiting list and enhancing transparency.
Referring to the case of outsourcing employee Naveen , he clarified that although the candidate qualified for two posts, he failed to attend certificate verification and was therefore ineligible for appointment. The government's stand was later upheld by the court.
Sasidhar said educational standards in government schools had improved significantly and announced that preparations were underway for another DSC recruitment drive . He also warned that strict action would continue against those deliberately spreading false information and misleading candidates.
