A spine-chilling incident has come to light under the limits of the Meerpet Police Station , where a minor dispute over taking a vehicle turn escalated into a life-threatening episode. A middle-aged man was allegedly dragged on a car bonnet for around 2 kilometres , causing panic in the locality.

According to police and the victim’s account, on the night of May 1 , a father and son were travelling on a two-wheeler from Meerpet towards LB Nagar. The son was riding the bike while the father was seated pillion. Around 500 metres before a designated U-turn, the son had already given an indicator signal.

A car approaching in the same direction objected, with the driver questioning why the indicator was given so early. The argument escalated, and the driver, in a fit of rage, allegedly grabbed the hair of the young rider from inside the car and continued driving for some distance, causing the youth to fall off the bike and suffer injuries.

When the father tried to save his son and stop the car, he held onto the bonnet. However, the driver reportedly showed no mercy and continued driving at high speed. Despite the victim clinging to the bonnet, the car was driven from Meerpet to Balapur, covering nearly 2 kilometres . The driver eventually stopped the vehicle at Balapur and fled the spot when the victim got down.

The disturbing visuals have gone viral on social media. Based on a complaint filed by the victim, Meerpet police have registered a case and launched an investigation. CCTV footage is being examined to identify and apprehend the accused.

The victim said, “He showed no humanity. He pulled my son’s hair, due to which he fell and got injured. Even when I asked him to stop the car, he did not listen and dragged me on the bonnet.”
