Master plan laid out for development of Husnabad: Minister Ponnam

Minister Ponnam Prabhakar has conducted an extensive review of key sectors in Husnabad constituency, including education, healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure, roads, electricity, and irrigation. Over two days, he held meetings with officials at both the mandal and field levels to understand the real challenges faced by people in rural areas.

The Minister said that during these sessions, problems identified at the field level were discussed with senior authorities to find effective solutions. Emphasizing transparency and the need to ensure government services reach villages efficiently, he instructed officials to focus on strengthening primary and sub-health centers. Special discussions were held with education department officials regarding staff shortages in schools.

In the agriculture sector, Ponnam met with mandal-level agricultural officers across 43 farmer forums in the constituency. Discussions included fish farming in irrigation tanks, water supply issues, and other agricultural concerns. Infrastructure and safety issues in schools, as well as electricity supply problems and exposed cables, were also reviewed with the relevant authorities.

Officials including Mandal Revenue Officers (MROs), Mandal Education Officer (MEOs), Mandal Parishad Development Officer (MPDOs), and Assistant Education Officer (AEOs) will prepare detailed reports mandal-wise, while village-level secretaries, village officers, ASHA workers, anganwadi staff, and headmasters will compile comprehensive feedback on local issues. Ponnam urged authorities to ensure there are no problems with Mission Bhagiratha water supply or road infrastructure.

Criticizing the previous government, the Minister said that no double-bedroom houses were constructed in the constituency over the last ten years. Under the current Indiramma housing scheme, 3,500 homes have been approved this year, and beneficiaries will receive bills within a week once construction is completed. More houses will also be approved in the future.

To promote small-scale industries in rural Husnabad, Ponnam has proposed a special veterinary scheme to the Chief Minister. He confirmed that R&B and Panchayat Raj roads are being completed, while development works at Survey Papanna Kota, beautification of Mahasamudram Gandi Ellamma Lake, and construction of new reservoirs are ongoing. Newly elected local representatives have also provided feedback on village issues, which will be discussed with district and state authorities to ensure timely solutions.
