
Massive Job Push: 20 Lakh Employment Goal in 5 Years, Says Srinivas
The Andhra Pradesh government is focused on creating two million employment opportunities over the next five years, according to Minister for MSME , SERP, and NRI Affairs, Kondapalli Srinivas. He inaugurated the new office of the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB) in Mangalagiri on Tuesday, along with IT Minister Nara Lokesh.
Speaking at the event, the minister said APEDB has a pivotal role in achieving the ambitious job creation target set by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu. He called on officials to work in close coordination and with a strong sense of responsibility to meet the objective.
MSME sector to drive employment
Srinivas highlighted that the state has vast opportunities for job generation and stressed the importance of raising awareness about MSMEs at the grassroots level. He said the government plans to strengthen the sector with the support of district collectors and all relevant departments.
He further expressed optimism that the government would not only achieve the promised target within five years but also exceed expectations with significant outcomes. Senior officials, including T. Krishnababu, Yuvaraj, and Guntur District Collector Thameem Ansariya, along with representatives from various departments, were present at the programme.
