The upcoming multilingual action thriller Mark, starring Kiccha Sudeep, is scheduled to release theatrically on December 25, 2025, aligning with the Christmas holiday season to maximize its audience reach. Produced by Sathya Jyothi Films and Kichcha Creations, this film marks the second collaboration between Sudeep and debutant director Vijay Karthikeyaa, following their successful 2024 hit Max.

The film’s production recently wrapped up in Bengaluru, and the first single’s lyrical video is set to drop on October 6, 2025, as teased in an electrifying X post by Sathya Jyothi Films, featuring a dynamic poster of Sudeep mid-air against a fiery red backdrop. This multilingual project, spanning Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam, boasts a talented ensemble cast including Naveen Chandra, Deepshika, Guru Somasundaram, Roshini Prakash, Dragon Manju, Gopalkrishna Deshpande, Mahantesh Hiremath, Yogi Babu, Abishek Joseph George, Archana Kottige, Prathap Narayanan, and Sathya S.K., with music by the acclaimed Ajaneesh Loknath, known for Kantara.

While specific plot details remain under wraps, the action-packed poster and tagline “Just 72 hours stand between you and the madness” hint at a high-stakes narrative, possibly revolving around revenge or a vigilante theme, consistent with Sudeep’s recent roles in films like Pailwaan and Vikrant Rona. The title glimpse, unveiled on September 2, 2025, coinciding with Sudeep’s 52nd birthday, was a strategic move to leverage his massive fan base, and the enthusiastic responses on X ranging from queries about the song title to pleas for exact release timings reflect his enduring popularity in Sandalwood cinema.

What makes Kiccha Sudeep special is his multifaceted talent and deep connection with audiences across India. Born Sudeep Sanjeev, he began his acting career with supporting roles in Thayavva (1997) and Prathyartha (1999) before breaking through with the romantic drama Sparsha (2000). His transformative performance in Huchcha (2001) earned him the nickname “Kiccha” and a Filmfare Award for Best Actor - Kannada, establishing him as a rugged, emotional action hero. Over the years, he has starred in commercial successes like Nandhi (2002), My Autograph (2006), Mussanjemaatu (2008), Pailwaan (2019), and Vikrant Rona (2022), while also gaining recognition for his villainous role in Eega (2012), which won him the Toronto After Dark Film Festival Special Award for Best Villain.

Beyond cinema, Sudeep has hosted Bigg Boss Kannada since 2013, enhancing his cultural influence, and his physical transformations evident in the Mark poster showcase his dedication to action roles. His last film, Max, released on December 25, 2024, was a commercial triumph, grossing over ₹100 crore worldwide with Sudeep portraying a fearless cop, further solidifying his collaboration with Karthikeyaa. This success sets the stage for Mark, which, with its pan-Indian appeal and the buzz around its upcoming single, promises to be another milestone in Sudeep’s illustrious career, driven by his versatility, fan loyalty, and knack for delivering mass entertainers. As the countdown to the lyrical video release continues, anticipation is building for what could be another blockbuster from this Sandalwood icon.
