Manchester City booked their place in a fourth straight FA Cup final after a late comeback win over Southampton, while Arsenal returned to the top of the Premier League with a crucial victory over Newcastle, tightening the title race.

At Wembley, City were briefly stunned when Southampton struck late through Finn Azaz in the 79th minute. But Pep Guardiola’s side responded quickly. Jeremy Doku equalised before Nico Gonzalez fired home an 87th minute winner to seal a 2–1 comeback victory , keeping City’s hopes of a domestic treble alive.

Guardiola called the achievement “extraordinary” as City continue their remarkable cup consistency.

In the league, Arsenal made the most of City’s cup distraction. A stunning early strike from Eberechi Eze secured a 1–0 win over Newcastle , pushing Mikel Arteta’s side three points clear at the top . Midfielder Declan Rice said the focus must remain on winning every match and ignoring outside pressure.

Elsewhere, the Premier League delivered more drama. Tottenham earned a rare win but stayed in the relegation zone, while West Ham moved further clear of danger with a stoppage time winner against Everton. Liverpool strengthened their top four hopes with a 3–1 win over Crystal Palace, but suffered concern after Mohamed Salah picked up a hamstring injury.

As the season enters its final stretch, the title race between Arsenal and Manchester City remains finely poised, with both teams pushing towards a dramatic finish in English football.
