Man throws 4-year-old son into Yamuna after dispute with wife, child dies in UP

A deeply disturbing incident has been reported from Firozabad , where a four-year-old boy died after being allegedly thrown into the Yamuna river by his father following a domestic dispute .

Police said the incident occurred on Wednesday evening in the Basai Mohammadpur area under the local police station limits. The accused, identified as Triloki , reportedly reached Shankarpur ghat with his son Anand after a heated argument with his wife.

In a shocking sequence of events, Triloki allegedly pushed the child into the river before jumping in himself. While the father was rescued by locals working in nearby fields, the child went missing in the strong current.

Soon after, police teams reached the spot and launched a search operation with the help of local divers . After an extensive effort, the child’s body was recovered downstream .

Station House Officer Kripal Singh said preliminary investigation suggests the act was committed in a sudden fit of rage triggered by a family dispute. He added that a detailed probe is underway to establish the exact circumstances.

The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination , police said.

The incident has left the area in shock, once again highlighting the devastating consequences of domestic conflicts escalating into violence .
