Man dies after jumping from mall window in Vadodara during suspected theft attempt

A 35-year-old man died after allegedly jumping from a window of a shopping mall in Vadodara while attempting to flee following a suspected theft, police said on Sunday.

The incident occurred around 6 pm on Saturday at the Agora City Mall in the Sama area. The man, identified as Hitendrasinh Parmar , reportedly tried to escape after an alleged theft attempt. According to Inspector B B Kodiyatar of the Sama police station, “Prima facie, he was attempting to flee the mall after a theft.”

Although the jump was from the mall’s first floor, the window was positioned at a height equivalent to a four-storey building , making the fall fatal. Parmar was pronounced dead at the scene.

An accidental death report has been filed, and police are continuing their investigation to confirm the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
