Mamitha Baiju Rules OTT With Two No. 1 Hits On Netflix And JioHotstar

Mamitha Baiju is having a dream run on OTT, with two of her recent films simultaneously ruling the charts on competing streaming platforms. Suriya and Mamitha-starrer 'Vishwanath & Sons' has returned to No. 1 on Netflix India, while Nivin Pauly and Mamitha's 'Bethlehem Kudumba Unit' is currently topping JioHotstar.

Directed by Venky Atluri, 'Vishwanath & Sons' premiered on Netflix on September 11 after a successful theatrical run. The Suriya-starrer had crossed Rs 260 crore worldwide at the box office before making its digital debut and has continued to attract viewers weeks into its OTT run.

The film sees Suriya play Sanjay Vishwanath, a wealthy businessman and former shooter whose carefully structured life changes after an unexpected turn of events. Mamitha plays Maddy, his younger love interest. The actor's performance, particularly her comic timing and lively screen presence, received attention after the film's theatrical and OTT releases.

On the other side, 'Bethlehem Kudumba Unit' is enjoying a blockbuster digital run on JioHotstar after premiering on October 2. Directed by Girish AD, the romantic comedy stars Mamitha as Ashley opposite Nivin Pauly's Justin. The film had already become one of Malayalam cinema's biggest successes before arriving on OTT, crossing Rs 300 crore worldwide and reportedly reaching around Rs 330 crore.

Interestingly, both films revolve around age-gap romances, but Mamitha approaches the two characters differently. While Maddy is energetic and outspoken in 'Vishwanath & Sons', Ashley is more restrained and emotionally layered in 'Bethlehem Kudumba Unit'.

The two films also arrived in theatres just a week apart, making Mamitha's current OTT feat even more striking. With one title leading Netflix India and the other dominating JioHotstar, the actor has managed to turn two theatrical successes into a simultaneous digital triumph.
