Major IAS transfers in Telangana administration

The Telangana state government has announced a major reshuffle in the bureaucracy, transferring several senior IAS officers and assigning additional responsibilities to a few others. The orders were issued by Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao on Friday.

As per the new postings:

• Savyasachi Ghosh, IAS, has been appointed as the Principal Secretary of the Social Welfare Department, where he will also oversee the implementation of key government flagship programs. He will continue to serve as Special Chief Secretary for the Welfare Department as well.

• Anita Ramachandran has been posted as Secretary and Commissioner of the Tribal Welfare Department.

• K. Elambarthi has been appointed as Secretary, Metropolitan Area and Urban Development Department.

• E. Sridhar, who previously served as Secretary, BC Welfare, will now take charge as Secretary, General Administration Department.

• Sheikh Yasin Basha has been given additional charge as Managing Director, Telangana State (specific department not mentioned in the order).

• Jitender Reddy, who was serving as CEO, Adilabad Zilla Parishad, has been appointed as Special Commissioner, Scheduled Castes Development Department, and also as Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the Telangana Scheduled Castes Cooperative Development Corporation.

• E. Saidulu, who was earlier the Secretary of the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Telangana BC Welfare Residential Educational Society, has now been appointed as Special Secretary, Flagship Welfare and Development Programs.

These transfers mark a significant administrative reshuffle aimed at strengthening the state’s welfare and development departments.
