
Major General Ajay Mishra Holds Key Meeting with Andhra Pradesh Governor
Major General Ajay Mishra , the senior officer overseeing the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Sub-Area (TASA), paid a courtesy visit to Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer. The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between the armed forces and civil administration, with discussions on development , security , and disaster management.
According to the Eastern Naval Command, the talks emphasized promoting “Military-Civil Fusion,” integrating the Army into state development programs, and enhancing coordination with government agencies for comprehensive progress.
Discussions with the Governor and Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu included nation-building initiatives, rural and urban development, disaster response, and strengthening security systems, with special attention on Army assistance during natural calamities.
Major General Mishra also met State Chief Secretary G. Sai Prasad to discuss land allocation for military units and infrastructure development, and Industries Minister T.G. Bharat to explore the growth of defense industries through infrastructure support, investments, and partnerships. The Army offered guidance to strengthen the state’s defense industrial ecosystem.
Additionally, Mishra held discussions with State Director General of Police Harish Kumar Gupta on internal security, intelligence-sharing, and welfare programs for ex-servicemen , including rehabilitation and employment opportunities.
Officials said the meetings aimed to enhance mutual understanding between the military and civil administration, fostering coordinated efforts in development , security, and disaster management.
