
Mahipal Reddy Calls for People-Centric Governance
The inaugural council meeting of the Gummadidala Municipality was held on a grand note on Monday, marking the beginning of a new administrative term. Gudem Mahipal Reddy, MLA of Patancheru Assembly constituency, attended the meeting as the chief guest and outlined the roadmap for the newly elected municipal body.
Addressing the council members, the MLA stressed that resolving public grievances must remain the top priority over the next five years. He urged elected representatives to uphold the trust reposed by the people and to remain accessible to citizens at all times.
Highlighting the government’s commitment to urban development , Mahipal Reddy announced that ₹15 crore allocation has been sanctioned for each of the five municipalities in the constituency to ensure comprehensive growth . The funds will be utilised to strengthen basic infrastructure , including roads, drainage systems, and drinking water supply . He added that foundation stones for key development works will be laid shortly, with projects to be executed on a fast-track basis .
The MLA called for coordinated efforts among public representatives and officials to transform Gummadidala into a model municipality.
Among those present at the meeting were MLC Anji Reddy, Municipal Chairman Kumar Goud, Vice-Chairperson Sandhya Govardhan Reddy, Commissioner Dasarath, councillors, and officials from various departments.
