Maharashtra’s Nanded to Offer Free NEET, JEE and CET Coaching to 200 Rural Students
The Nanded district administration in Maharashtra will provide free coaching for NEET, JEE and CET entrance examinations to 200 meritorious students from economically weaker rural families, officials said on Tuesday.
The initiative is aimed at helping students prepare for competitive examinations despite financial constraints, particularly amid drought conditions affecting the state.
According to an official release, students currently studying in Class 10 at Zilla Parishad high schools and private aided schools in rural areas will be eligible for the programme. Selection will be based on an entrance test scheduled for December 2026.
The coaching will prepare selected students for three major entrance examinations: NEET, which is used for admission to undergraduate medical courses; JEE, for engineering programmes; and CET, for admission to various professional courses.
The initiative seeks to improve access to competitive examination preparation for talented students who may otherwise face financial barriers to private coaching.
The district administration has not yet announced the exact date of the entrance test or provided details about the application procedure, registration deadline and coaching schedule. Further instructions regarding the selection process are expected to be issued by the authorities.
