Liverpool Agree $166 Million Deal For PSG Star Bradley Barcola

Liverpool are closing in on another major attacking signing, with Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola set to move to Anfield in a deal worth up to £123 million ($166 million), according to people familiar with the transaction.

The agreement between Liverpool and PSG includes an initial payment of £106 million ($143 million), with a further £17 million ($23 million) available through performance-related add-ons. The transfer is expected to become a French league record for a player leaving Ligue 1.

The details of the deal have not been publicly announced, and neither club has officially commented. Barcola is expected to undergo his medical examination before completing the transfer, with the summer window closing on Tuesday.

The 23-year-old France international joined PSG from Lyon in 2023 for around €45 million ($38.5 million). Since arriving in Paris, he has been part of the club's successful European campaign and won back-to-back Champions League titles.

Barcola's move would represent another huge investment in Liverpool's attack. The Premier League club have already spent heavily on Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz, underlining their determination to build an elite attacking unit.

A natural left winger, Barcola has often operated as an impact substitute at PSG, with Désiré Doué frequently preferred in the starting lineup. A move to Liverpool could give him a more prominent role and greater responsibility in attack.

Liverpool will also hope the France international can provide an immediate spark. The Reds have drawn their opening two Premier League matches 2-2, against Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest.

Barcola was also part of France's squad at the 2026 World Cup, where Les Bleus were eliminated by Spain in the semifinals.

With the transfer window rapidly approaching its deadline, Liverpool's pursuit of Barcola could become one of the defining moves of the summer.
