A social media post allegedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for a reported firing incident outside the residence of Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh’s manager, Gurpartap Singh Kang , in Haryana’s Karnal district, even as police officials said on Wednesday that no complaint has been filed and no evidence has been recovered so far .

According to the post, associates identified as Tyson Bishnoi, Arzoo Bishnoi and Hari Boxer purportedly claimed responsibility for the alleged incident in Gonder village. However, authorities have maintained that the claims remain unverified at this stage .

Karnal Superintendent of Police Narendra Bijarniya said police teams visited the village after the information surfaced but found no physical evidence of firing at the spot . He also confirmed that neither the manager nor his family had approached the police with any complaint. “There is no information from the family side,” the officer said.

The development has triggered political reactions, with Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema alleging on social media that the incident came shortly after reports that the BJP had allegedly approached Dosanjh to join the party, which he refused. He further claimed that the timing of the alleged attack suggested an attempt to “send a message” through intimidation , though these allegations remain political statements and not part of police findings .

So far, investigators have not established any confirmed motive or link between the alleged firing and the singer or his manager. Officials also clarified that the investigation is at a preliminary stage , and authenticity of the social media claim is being examined.

Lawrence Bishnoi and his alleged network have previously been mentioned in various criminal cases involving intimidation and extortion claims, often communicated through intermediaries or online posts, but authorities stress that each incident requires case-by-case verification .Police have said further action will depend on verifiable evidence and formal complaints .
