India’s challenge at the MCB Ladies Classic – Mauritius golf tournament ended on a disappointing note as Diksha Dagar , Tvesa Malik , and Hitaashee Bakshi slipped down the leaderboard after a strong start to the week.

Diksha Dagar began confidently with rounds of 68 and 69, but could not maintain the momentum in the final stretch. A closing round of 74 pushed her down to tied 21st. Her round included just one birdie on the ninth hole, while mistakes on the first, 10th, and 15th proved costly.

Tvesa Malik showed steady form early in the tournament with 70 and 71, but a final round of 73 saw her fall to tied 38th. Despite a composed start, she could not accelerate when the competition tightened on the final day.

Hitaashee Bakshi had been in a stronger position after opening with 71 and 69, but a difficult final round of 76 led to a sharp drop to tied 58th, ending her campaign on a low after promising early performances.

While the Indian trio struggled to finish strong, Denmark’s Smilla Tarning Soenderby delivered under pressure. A decisive birdie on the final hole helped her clinch her second Ladies European Tour title and the historic first win of this tournament.

Kajsa Arwefjäll and Casandra Alexander finished just one shot behind in a tight battle, while Italy’s Anna Zanusso produced a record breaking bogey free 63 to highlight the week.

The LET now moves to its European swing after a dramatic finish in Mauritius.
