Kuppam sees industrial boom with investments worth ₹2,203 cr, 22,330 jobs created

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu emphasized that the coalition government is focused on the state’s overall development and creating a business-friendly environment to attract investments and establish industries. As part of this vision, the government is transforming Kuppam constituency in Chittoor district into a major industrial hub.

Through a virtual event, CM Naidu laid the foundation for seven new industries in Kuppam, including Hindalco, Sreeja Dairy, Aces International, SVF Soya, Mother Dairy, E-Rays EV, and Aleap. These companies plan to invest a total of ₹2,203 crore, creating direct and indirect employment for 22,330 people. The government has allocated 241 acres of land for these projects.

During the virtual event, the CM interacted with industry representatives and local residents. He highlighted the role of the State Level Industrial Promotion Board (SIPB) in fast-tracking approvals for these projects. He also announced that eight more companies, with a combined investment of ₹6,339 crore, are expected to set up operations in Kuppam soon, which could generate employment for an additional 43,000 people.

To support skill development, Hindalco will invest ₹586 crore to establish an Advanced Technical Skill Development Center, while Sreeja Dairy will invest ₹290 crore in an integrated dairy and livestock facility benefiting local women and small-scale farmers. Aces International will set up a dairy protein production unit with ₹525 crore, SVF Soya will establish a ₹373 crore soya processing plant, and Mother Dairy will invest ₹260 crore in a juice, jam, and pulp production unit.

Kuppam is also set to become a hub for green mobility, with E-Rays EV establishing an electric vehicle and two-wheeler manufacturing plant worth ₹200 crore. Aleap will set up a women-focused industrial park with an investment of ₹27 crore, providing training and employment for 4,000 people.

The CM underlined initiatives like “One Family-One Entrepreneur” and “One Family-One AI Expert,” emphasizing that empowering youth and women through education and industry is key to development. He also mentioned plans to make Kuppam a 100% solar-powered constituency and highlighted improvements in road connectivity, logistics, innovation hubs, medical devices, and footwear industries.

Focusing on welfare, the CM said the government has implemented key election promises through the “Super Six” initiatives, improving living standards. Projects such as Handri-Neeva water supply and Tata Sanjeevani health services have benefited thousands of residents. Additionally, 400 e-bikes were distributed to SHG members, over 130 electric vehicles have been introduced for waste collection, and Kuppam is on track to become Andhra Pradesh’s first zero-landfill constituency by March next year. Single-use plastics have also been banned.

In earlier virtual interactions, local farmers and residents thanked the CM for creating employment opportunities through these new industries, noting that it will allow them to sell their produce locally. The event was attended by MLC Kancherla Sreekanth and other officials.
