Kuchipudi dance to be introduced in government schools once a week
In an initiative to promote cultural education among students, Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Nara Lokesh has taken steps to introduce Kuchipudi dance training in government schools.
With the support of Ball Corporation and the Ananta Ananda Trust, arrangements have begun to teach Kuchipudi dance to students. The programme was first launched at a government school in Mangalagiri, where professional training has already commenced.
As part of the initiative, selected government schools in the constituency with higher student strength will offer Kuchipudi classes once a week. The aim is to encourage students to excel not only in academics but also in arts and cultural activities.
Representatives of the Ananta Ananda Trust stated that the programme aligns with Minister Nara Lokesh’s vision of holistic education and that both the Trust and Ball Corporation are committed to supporting this goal.
Parents of the students welcomed the initiative and expressed their gratitude to Minister Nara Lokesh for promoting traditional art forms and providing new learning opportunities for children in government schools.
